Coffee nail art
Hey girls ;)
Are you going out for a coffee? What do you think about wearing the coffee nails?? :D
Here's a tutorial of my coffee nails :)
I've tried my best to explain the tiniest bits but still if you have any queries, feel free to ask, I'll definitely try to answer in the best possible way :)
so lets start :D
THINGS I HAVE USED:
I have used the colour studio professional nail polishes.
1. mocha
2. deep under cover
3. eve's secret
4. the super base coat
5. the super top coat
I've also used acrylics to make the coffee colour...since my coffee coloured nail polish just got finished :(. But acrylics are always a great help. You can make any colour you want with the combinations of basic colours.
I've used:
1. red acrylic colour
2. blue acrylic colour
3. yellow acrylic colour
The dotting tool is an old mechanical pencil. I use it for making smaller dots. For larger dots you can use the back of your make-up brushes or anything that is round and is of the appropriate shape. Remember you can do nail art by using the scrap at your home.
The brush "was" an eye-liner brush :P but I trimmed to make my nail art brush ;)
HOW TO DO IT:
I guess I've done allot of detailing about the things I've used ;) now comes how to do it :D
STEP 1:
Start off by applying a base to protect your nails from discolouration.
STEP 2:
Paint your nails with a light coffee brown nail polish. I have used the "mocha" by colour studio professionals.
STEP 3:
Make a coffee cup on any one of your nails or either all of them. You can use any colour for the cup, I have used the "deep under cover" by colour studio professionals.
Here is a picture tutorial of how to make a cup.
First make an out line of the cup with a striper brush or use a thin brush, any thing you like. If you are not good at drawing straight lines, try making dots. Now fill the cup with the nail polish.
Now again take a fine brush and make the handle of the cup (try making dots if you are unable to make it in a single go).
your cup is ready :D
STEP 4:
We need to show some coffee in the cup and for that you need a darker coffee brown colour. If you don't have a nail polish you can use acrylics. I have shown a demonstration of how to make coffee brown with red, yellow and blue acrylics. Now as shown in fig 1 show some coffee in the cup. you might write a C in your cup or you can write your name's first letter or leave it blank ;)
STEP 5:
To give more detailing we have to show some steam arising from the hot coffee :D
Use a white nail polish to make the slight s-shapes for the steam as shown in step 6 of figure 1.
You can also add some shine to your cup by making a line on one side of your cup ;)
Now, your cup is absolutely ready. :D
For the rest of your nails, you can make different designs like small polka dots, larger polka dots, some hearts, or maybe smaller coffee cups.
For the hearts try making 2 commas and then join them with some colour :)
For the cups you can follow the same patter as shown in the figure 1
Hope you found the tutorial easy. I know the post has become a little lengthy but I've tried to make it as easy as possible :))
Enjoy your coffees girls :D and don't forget to give me your feedback :D
